I am one day behind in Aotearoa, but I have my own, Back to the Future, watching the moving pictures out of America, where it is still the very day celebrating this man’s legacy.
These words from, Martin Luther King, out of his Strength to Love title, and used in the initial tome, resound with greater force as we consider their real-life application through his person and actions.
Success, recognition, and conformity are the bywords of the modern world where everyone seems to crave the anaesthetizing security of being identified with the majority. In spite of this prevailing tendency to conform, we as Christians have a mandate to be nonconformists… Any Christian who blindly accepts the opinions of the majority and in fear and timidity follows a path of expediency and social approval is a mental and spiritual slave.
